Even though embarking on their maiden European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting at a rapid pace. Without star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a commanding result that all but secures them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.

Another three points in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to seal direct passage to the knockout stages, particularly after a previous setback against Strasbourg.

Fringe Players Seize the Moment

This match provided a platform for several Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second consecutive match.

Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, only to see his shot blocked.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still scope for development in his game.

The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
